The second meeting of the eResearch Council of the Göttingen Campus took place on November 12th. Dr. Dierkes gave an overview about the activities of the Göttingen eResearch Alliance during the last five months, especially about the increasing number of consultations, trainings and presentations which shows the need and acceptance for the services offered by the Göttingen eResearch Alliance. To find out the specific needs of the researchers at the Göttingen Campus, all participants agreed to conduct a mapping of the Campus requirements. This mapping will provide a strong basis for the further development of the Göttingen Campus research infrastructure within the next years. One step is supporting the sharing of research infrastructure resources. Prof. Dr. Caroline Sporleder who holds the Chair for Digital Humanities at Georg-August-University since October 2015 presented the plans for a Humanities Campus Laboratory.

On November 12th 2015 (14:15-15:45h) there will be training course on research data management provided by the Göttingen eResearch Alliance at the German Primate Center (Leibniz Institute for Primate Research) for members of Research Training Group 2070 (RTG2070, Understanding Social Relationships). 

During the last weeks we have worked hard to reshape the website of the Göttingen eResearch Alliance. The portal now offers an easy entry to our consulting and training offers, eResearch tools and services on the Göttingen Campus and beyond and additional information about research data management and other topics. We are constantly updating the website and developing it further. We are happy to hear from you if you have any comments or suggestions for improvement, just contact us.

Diese Infoveranstaltung richtet sich an alle Forschenden der UMG.

Digitale Forschungsdaten fallen in den unterschiedlichsten Formen und Mengen in Ihrer täglichen Arbeit an. Das können z. B. Messwerte, Bilder, Videos, DNA-Sequenzen etc. sein. Welche Möglichkeiten gibt es, diese Daten effizient, sicher und nachhaltig zu speichern und weiter zu verarbeiten?

Als universitäre Einrichtungen möchten Ihnen in dieser Veranstaltung die Göttingen eResearch Alliance, das Institut für Medizinische Informatik und die Zentrale Serviceeinheit - Medizinische Biometrie und Statistische Bioinformatik der UMG ihre vielseitigen Unterstützungsangebote für alle Phasen des Forschungsprozesses und Ansprechpartner vorstellen.
