FDM@Campus 2026: Event information

Information on FDM@Campus 2026

This year’s FDM@Campus conference will take place in Göttingen from Sep 29 to Oct 01, 2026.

The central topic of the event will again revolve around the question:

How can we combine and use the different spheres of RDM developments efficiently, in order to offer the best RDM services to researchers on site?

This year we want to put the focus more on the requirements of researchers, and in this context discuss practical topics concerning research data management directly on campus. We thus welcome contributions on topics like:

  • Building RDM support on campus
  • Networking with other initiatives/local offers
  • Models for financing and operation
  • RDM services

As a new format we are planning – provided we receive suitable contributions – a separate session to which we want to specifically invite researchers. Contributions for this session should motivate researchers to actively participate, e.g. by applying RDM tools or workflows, and by inquiring their specific RDM requirements or suggestions for improvement to existing offers.

We would like to invite you to submit your contributions until Apr 15, 2026. In contrast to past years there will only be this one call this year. Our established formats are:

  1. Presentations, including tandem presentations (two persons from infrastructure and application/research)
  2. Complete sessions (90 minute blocks), e.g. hands-on sessions, discussion formats or networking meetings
  3. Poster

Beyond this we are open for other formats and ideas.

For your submission please register with our event management system via this link: https://events.gwdg.de/event/1353/abstracts/

and enter the required information concerning your submission. Potentially there will also be room for organizing satellite events before or after the conference. If you are interested, please write to tagung@eresearch.uni-goettingen.de.

Registration for the event is expected to open in June. We would be very happy to welcome you to Göttingen in September.
