Description
GRO.plan is a tool for creating and managing Data Management Plans (DMPs), available free of charge for the members of the Göttingen Campus and universities in Lower Saxony. Its purpose is to guide researchers through the various aspects of planning data management tasks for their research project.
While some funders require handing in a DMP together with a funding proposal or at the beginning of a research project, researchers should also benefit themselves from the creation of their DMP. By addressing important data management aspects of a research project as early as possible, one can avoid having to deal with upcoming problems during hot research phases and sometimes discover tools or workflows for managing their data that even save valuable time.
GRO.plan is implemented as an instance of the open source software RDMO (Research Data Management Organizer). It provides features such as selecting from funder- or discipline-specific question sets for guiding researchers, versioning of DMPs, collaborative editing of a DMP, various export options and many more.
