The Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is looking for a student worker in the field of data migration within a DFG funded project.

The tasks will consist e.g. of:

  • Setting up a virtual machine
  • Installation and configuration of a web based data management system
  • Configuration / adaption of metadata schemas
  • Coding
  • Evaluation of data exchange APIs and network protocols.

A workshop called "Next Generation Medicine?   • The rest of the meeting will be devoted to an open hacking space where everybody can explore their own projects, interests, and exchange ideas and coding problems.

The Niedersächsische Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek announces a job post for an E13 TV-L position. The project "GRAcE - Göttingen Research Data Exploratory - management parameters derived from the Göttingen eResearch Alliance" aims to identify general factors within the research data management process to concepualise (and later implement) a planning instrument which should be transferable to other research locations.

The Data Science Game is a worldwide Machine learning competition for students. The competition is related to Statistics, Machine learning and Computer science. You and your fellow students have a good idea? Take the change and register for the Data Science Game:

Am 29.03.2017 findet an der TIB in Hannover der 7. Workshop der DINI/nestor AG Forschungsdaten unter dem Titel "Persistent Identifier für Forschungsdaten" statt. Der Workshop gibt praktische Einblicke in verschiedene PID-Systeme (DOI, handle, URN) und deren Anwendungsmöglichkeiten.
